Extensive research and development has gone into the design of the new CommandView Cab on the 7020 Series tractors. The new cab offers improved visibility, comfort, and room for the operator. "The new cab has 20 percent more interior space than previous models, and all controls are color-coded for easy access and operation," Worner says.The chassis of the 7020 tractors has been redesigned for increased strength and reliability. The sculptured frame design allows the front wheels to tuck under the tractor for a dramatically improved turning radius at narrow tread settings. The increased chassis and wheelbase length provides more stability and improved ride while accommodating a 10 percent increase in on-board fuel capacity for longer days in the field before refueling.

The equity raise comes on the heels of the recently announced management restructuring at Karts International. The company appointed John R. Pettinger as special projects manager and J. Brian Willms to the newly created position of chief information officer. Beginning this month, I will be doing a series of articles on the fun kart industry. I have two main purposes for writing about this topic. First and foremost is to familiarize OPE dealers and technicians with the fun kart industry and to have them realize what a great, and largely untapped, opportunity awaits them in selling and servicing fun karts. My second purpose is to make consumers aware of the practical and recreational applications for these karts, especially for farmers and other people who live in rural areas with lots of open space. Filter maintenance problems can occur during winter months when the temperature of the fuel drops below the cloud point and wax starts to be filtered out. This accumulated wax will eventually dissolve when the fuel heats up and may cause some operation problems such as rough running and black smoke. Winter conditions may require switching to #1 diesel fuel if available. Fuel-Injection Pumps -- There are two basic types of fuel injection pumps: in-line and distributor. (In February, I will explain how a distributor pump operates and discuss some troubleshooting hints). Both in-line and distributor pumps may include a separate, built-in transfer pump.
